Rattlesnake alert

Decided to go on a hike today and was amazed at the beautiful wildflowers that covered the area. We have not had much rain in the last few years so much of the area is really dry and we are on water rations.

While hiking, we encountered a rattlesnake so we decided it was time to return home. I was warned that there were more snakes out this year but I did not think I would encounter one this early in the season.
